What do you love most about coaching soccer?

The opportunity to help players learn the game, plus develop skills and team work that could help them later in life.

Who was your favorite soccer player growing up?

Pele.

What club team do you support?

Tottenham Hotspurs.

What do you look for in a soccer player?

Players with a positive attitude who want to learn.

What is your philosophy on player development?

I believe the fundamentals are incredibly important. Once the fundamentals are solid and are second nature, the rest of the game can be developed.

What is your favorite memory in soccer?

Playing for SMHS varsity team against our rivals Ramona. I scored 2 goals (including the winner) and assisted in the other goal. The loss stopped Ramona’s undefeated season.

What is it about the San Marcos Revolution that makes you want to coach here?

I was raised in San Marcos and I believe there has always been an abundance of talent in the city and surrounding area. I like the philosophy of the club, the direction it is going and want to help other San Marcos players have positive soccer experiences growing up.
